Perfect Summer {Birthday} Dresses

Another year, another birthday! I somehow am more depressed by the age of 26 than I was by 25. I feel old! This year I purchased some fun dresses to brighten up the mood. I spent more of my week on Cape Cod with family and friends celebrating with nice dinner and drinks. For the weekend following, I came back to NYC to celebrate with one of my best guy friends with a big birthday party with all my NYC friends. It was an absolute blast. Thanks to all of my friends and family that made it extra special.

What Camera to Buy?

Bloggers help needed! As you may have seen from some of my pictures, the quality is not great. I generally use my iPhone to take photos as I always have it on me. I think it is time to get a real camera and face the music. There are so many different camera's out there I get overwhelmed. Do YOU have any suggestions?

Helping Others: Falmouth Road Race

For those of you who have not received my e-mails or seen my Facebook postings, I am running in my first 10k this upcoming August to raise money for Gronk Nation Youth Foundation. This 10k takes place on Cape Cod and is part of the Falmouth Road Race. I am raising money any way I can through my fundraising page which you can see my clicking here.

What is Gronk Nation Youth Foundation?

As you probably know, most schools in Massachusetts now charge high athletic fees making it a hardship for many athletes to play organized team sports in public schools. Being a strong sports family, Gronk Nation can recognize to this. Families who have many children playing sports for multiple seasons gets very costly. Sports should be something all kids should be able to play without having to worry about the affordability of fees and equipment while in school. It's our goal to alleviate some of the costs through our fundraising efforts. No student athlete should sit on the sideline because they can't afford a sport.

The Perfect Birthday Vacation

With my birthday coming up this week, I am celebrating over the weekend on Cape Cod with family and friends! I have a few days off from work so you will find me at the beach, catching up on some reading, and shopping around town. We all are constantly on our phones right? So what better way to make a statement than with an amazing iPhone case. I need to desperately get an upgrade to an iPhone 5 due to the slow speed of my iPhone 4 (I know, big problem), so I have been on the hunt to get the perfect case. My personal favorite is the grey studded J.Crew case. Can you believe it's J.Crew?

Organization

I don't know about you, but when it comes to my jewelry I feel as though I am constantly losing items in piles, tangles, or in jewelry storage boxes. About a year ago, I decided to neatly organize my necklaces and hang them up on my wall by my vanity. This was amazing. Not only could I see what necklaces I actually owned, but the display turned out to be a bit of "wall art".

Now that the necklaces were organized, I still had rings, bracelets and earrings. My rings, I eventually stored on this cute Eiffel Tower ring stand (similar here) and my bracelets stored on this cute acrylic jewelry stand. The only thing left... earrings. See below my display for how I try to neatly store my jewelry.  Major benefit of doing this: you get to see what you actually own.

J.Crew's Best Sale

So, I am a huge fan of the J.Crew sample sale as most of you know from earlier posts. It comes to NYC twice a year, and every single time I score big time. J.Crew seems to have taken the hint and has been having mega sales on-line and in stores this week. Each day this week they have a 30-40% deal for a certain item. The code is always the day of the week.

New Beginnings

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of going to my cousin's wedding in the lovely city of Chicago.  When I was at the wedding I had an interesting conversation with my cousin in law and her friends about my blog. Over the past year I have struggled with posting again. Maybe it was because I was not as confident in my blog as I should be, or maybe it was just being a busy girl in NYC. Either way, I wanted to apologize and say thank you to those who have been loyal readers in the past.

So this post is a “new beginning” if you will; a fresh start to a beautiful summer. I hope you are all enjoying traveling and exploring new things in the warmer months. I look forward to sharing some of my journeys, shopping cravings, and deals I have snagged!
