Spring Jackets

Being as it is the beginning of May, we are slowly transitioning from a time of cooler climates to warmer ones (thank goodness). This means that we can finally get rid of our winter coats for the season and embrace a lighter shell to keep us a little warmer on those chilly spring days. There are so many coats I have been eyeing this season. I recently purchased this coat so I am afraid that while I love all the items I listed below, I have reached my jacket allotment for this season, unless an amazing sale comes my way. A girl can dream (or stalk on-line) can't she? Find below great coats to help you transition into spring.

Be A Little Shady

With the warmer temperatures coming, now is a better time than ever to rock a good pair of shades. While investing in a nice pair is usually my advice, recently I have changed my ways. I was stopping by Forever 21 the other day (which can be very hit or miss) and I found an amazing pair for under $6 found below. I am obsessed. They have a look about them that is not cheap, and they even have a pretty decorative interior. While the cheaper shades I purchased are awesome, I still can't help myself when I see an expensive pair that do what the cheaper pair cannot. Below you will find sunglasses I love in all price points because, you really can never have too many pairs of sunglasses, right?

White Blazers

Who said you can't wear white before labor day? I would like to think that many of us have dismissed this saying and have fully embraced a powerful white item in the days, weeks and months before and/or after labor day. One item that I am currently craving is a white blazer. A white blazer with the right cut, length, and shoulder can turn a boring outfit into a powerful statement. Even though the color white is not that exciting by itself, with its crisp and straight lines it can make you stand out. I have my eye on a few white blazers, but have yet to decide on the exact one for this season. Here are some of the white blazers I am loving right now.

ASOS

Zara

Rebecca Minkoff

Zara
I own this in a different color and I know this isn't exactly white (its more an off white) - I love it so much.

Do you own a white blazer? If so where did you get yours? Let me know below in the comments section!

Workday Wednesday: Fashionably Organized

There is no better feeling than being organized and staying on top of things. I am a big fan of to do lists and I love when I can check those few items off. It brings a sense of accomplishment, even if I did just pick up dry cleaning. I used to just write things down on a piece of paper and throw it away, but times have changed. A few months ago I invested in a small Moleskine that I carry around with me daily to keep track of my personal and work to do lists. It is so convenient when an idea or thought pops into your head just to write it down. So today's post is on fashionable organization items. The main item is that cute to do booklet I started of with, but upon searching the web, I have fallen in love with many items to keep you organized and on top of your game in a realistically lovely way (yes that just happened). Hope you enjoy.

Faux Collar

I have seen collar necklaces on many fashion blogs lately, but I have not seen as many as I would like to in person. Why? (I ask myself) - well it's simple. For such an easy trend that spices up an outfit and gives it a more dashing, fun and flirty look, it feels a bit risky. Questions of: will this look okay?, or is this too much? come into our heads. I think it is time to accept this trend and to embrace it, I know I am going to start. Enjoy!

What I Bought: Sales

Sorry for the lack of post on Friday, I hope the sales lasted you into the weekend! I had some GREAT sales experiences - so we can blame the nonexistent Friday post on that right? Okay good. The items I bought on sale are from stores I posted here, and other stores as well. While I was expecting the sales from the stores I posted about, I did NOT expect to find such great bargains elsewhere. Take a journey with me below on my successes from the weekend. Hope everyone is having a great start to their week!

H&M (Also love this)
While this was not on sale, I got this necklace in stores for under $13. Color much prettier in person.

Workday Wednesday: First Outfit Post!

As someone who reads blogs everyday, one of the items I personally enjoy the most is seeing actual outfits on my favorite bloggers. Since I started this blog, I have wanted to post outfit pictures. Here is an outfit that I wore to work with a necklace I posted about here. With the inspiration of workday Wednesday, I wanted to show a realistic outfit that I would (and did) wear to work. I like that it involves staple pieces with a pop of color in the necklace and playful color blocking in the shoes. Hope you enjoy!

Effortless Looks

I don't know if it was the Aruba weather, or the warm weather tease we had in NYC on Saturday, but I can't stop thinking about looks for this spring/summer. As you know from my previous post found here, I love a good maxi. The look below screams effortless style in so many ways with the perfect combination of trendiness and comfort.  Effortless Look

What items are you looking to purchase for the upcoming warmer weather?

Weekend Style

This weekend I kept it casual and rocked some new purchases I have been dying to wear, but haven't yet had the opportunity for. For me, I like to make purchases of items I would wear both at work and outside of work to get a better return on my investment. This weekend I wore some work appropriate statement necklaces, some gingham, and my new favorite coat from Zara (not as work appropriate, but I will be wearing this as often as I can). Here is an instagram snapshot of a weekend outfit. What are you wearing on the weekends?

Top: J.Crew (similar here)
Jacket: Zara (recently purchased in stores, similar item - minus gold zipper detail - here)
Necklace: J.Crew (borrowed c/o Alyssa Zolna)
Items not shown - Pants: J Brand
Shoes: Tory Burch Reva Flats

To my readers, would you be interested in more outfit posts? If so, let me know.
